Who We Are

As a group of families in the Murrieta Valley, we have the power to make a tremendous difference. We spend our days and nights caring for our children and families. We also extend our love and strength as both men, women and children to a charity close to our hearts: The American Cancer Society. This is our 4th year participating in the Relay for Life of Murrieta, a 24 hour walk which represents cancer never sleeps and for 24 hours neither will we. As Strollin' for a Cure we have established ourselves as one of the leading contributors to this great cause.

Congratulations Randi!

The following is a message from the Regional Relay for Life Manager, announcing the appointment of Randi as the Event Chair for the 2009 Relay For Life of Murrieta. Please join me in congratulating Randi on this important assignment!

Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back.

It is with tremendous delight that I announce that Randi Kelley has graciously agreed to be the Murrieta Event Chair for our 2009 Relay For Life of Murrieta!!!

As some of you may know, Randi was Co-Captain of Moms Strollin' For a Cure and as a new team to Relay they did an outstanding job. They took 2nd Place in top team fundraising, raising over $7,200 for the fight against cancer and also won the Best Team Spirit award! Randi is a cancer survivor and is very passionate about the fight against cancer. She is brimming with enthusiam, energy and creativity and ready to help make our 2009 Relay a fantastic one. Please join me in welcoming her to our Relay family and please let her know how happy we are to have her. Her email address is randikelley@gmail.com.

Relay For Life can only exist if supported by a core of committee members and right now we are looking to recruit new members to help us plan the 2009 Relay. Being a committee member means that you are a part of the group of people that plan and execute the actual Relay For Life event. The committee is composed of many different people with many different skills for the many different features of Relay For Life. Some committee members focus on growing the event, like recruiting new teams, finding sponsors, survivors, helping teams learn more about Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society. Other committee members focus on event production, like event night activities, logistics, planning ceremonies, advertising the event, and much more.

The success of our event depends on having new committee members bringing fresh ideas each year. If you are someone who is passionate about the fight against cancer, is motivated to fight back, and wants to represent the American Cancer Society in your community...then you are a committee member. You just need to join us! The Relay For Life of Murrieta needs your help and support. Please call me if you have any questions or if you would like more information.

Warm regards,
